PLAÇA DE CATALUNYA (CATALONIA SQUARE)

Plaça de Catalunya is located in the city centre of Barcelona and is one of the largest squares in Spain and one of the most iconic parts of Barcelona. It is a great place to shop and to enjoy several of Barcelona´s fountains and statues.  

 

THE BOQUERIA MARKET (LA BOQUERIA)
The Boqueria Market, next to Plaça de Catalunya is one of the best public markets in Europe offering a wide selection of goods. It is located in the centre near to the Liceo, Barcelona´s opera house.

PARK GÜELL

Why not take some time out to visit Park Güell and get to know one of the major works of Antonio Gaudí in Barcelona? Park Güell also offers guided tours to learn first-hand about the history of one of Gaudi´s most incredible masterpieces.

MONTJUÏC

Montjuïc is the second tallest mountain in the city after Tibidabo. It was completely renovated for the 1929 International Exposition and then for the 1992 Summer Olympics. It offers visitors a wide range of things to do and see, such as:

 

Poble Espanyol: This is an interesting open-air museum with replicas of some of the most traditional Spanish buildings. 

Castell de Montjuïc (Monjuïc Castle): This sits at the top of the hill and gives visitors the chance to see amazing views of the city.  You can either walk up to the Castell or take the cable car.

Fundació Joan Miró (Joan Miró Foundation):This exhibition focuses on the Spanish artist Joan Miro’s work and contemporary art.

 

FÚTBOL CLUB BARCELONA (FOOTBALL CLUB BARCELONA)
Football fans should make sure that they don´t miss out on the chance to visit the Football Club Barcelona Stadium which  also offers visitors the chance to visit the official FCB store and to do the Camp Nou Experience, consisting of a tour and museum.
